Play-Offs: The Different Scenarios

With only one matchday remaining in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, it is clear that ADO Den Haag will participate in the Play-Offs in pursuit of promotion to the Eredivisie. After last Friday, three different scenarios are still possible. This coming Friday, it will be revealed who ADO Den Haag’s opponent will be and on which dates ADO Den Haag will play their matches. In this article, we will update you on the possible routes ADO Den Haag could take in the Play-Offs.

Scenario 1:
ADO Den Haag finishes fourth (current situation) In the current situation (ADO Den Haag finishes fourth), The Hague side will play the first match away, with kick-off on Tuesday, May 13 at 18:45. The return leg would then be played on Saturday, May 17 at 16:30 at the Bingoal Stadion. If ADO Den Haag finishes fourth, the opponent will come from the match between Telstar and FC Emmen. The winner secures the seventh spot; a draw is sufficient for Telstar.

Scenario 2:
ADO Den Haag finishes third If ADO Den Haag manages to win away at VVV, they will be dependent on the result of Cambuur. If the team from Leeuwarden fails to win, ADO Den Haag will finish third and face FC Den Bosch in the first round of the Play-Offs. The first leg in that case will be played on Monday, May 12 in Den Bosch. The return leg will then be on Friday, May 16 at the Bingoal Stadion.

Scenario 3:
ADO Den Haag finishes fifth There is also a scenario in which ADO Den Haag finishes fifth. If ADO Den Haag does not win away at VVV, then FC Dordrecht can overtake ADO Den Haag in the standings with a victory (over FC Volendam). If ADO Den Haag ends up in fifth place, they will face De Graafschap in the first round of the Play-Offs. Once again, the first match would be away, followed by the return leg on Saturday, May 17 at the Bingoal Stadion.

Possible (Semi) Final Play-Offs:
The winners of the first Play-Off round from positions 3 and 4 (for ADO Den Haag, scenario 1 or 2) will then face each other in a possible semi-final. In the case ADO Den Haag finishes fifth (scenario 3), they would play in a possible semi-final against the team finishing sixteenth in the Eredivisie, a position currently occupied by Willem II.

The Play-Off finals will be played on Thursday, May 29 at 20:00 and on Sunday, June 1 at 18:00.

As is known, strict conditions apply this season for purchasing tickets for ADO Den Haag’s home matches, and the same will apply to the Play-Off matches. For all home matches in the Play-Offs, full registration and identification of the ADO Den Haag account is required in order to purchase a ticket. This means that you must have a verified ADO Den Haag account in our system.

Furthermore, during home matches in the Play-Offs, you may purchase a maximum of one ticket per account. So make sure that a friend, girlfriend, family member, or acquaintance also completes the registration and identification process if you normally buy an extra ticket for them. Ticket sales for the first round of the Play-Offs will start as soon as possible after the final league match, once the definitive Play-Off route for ADO Den Haag is known.

Season Ticket Holders

Get Discounted Access to the Play-Offs Season ticket holders do not automatically gain access to the Play-Offs with their season card. However, they can expect a personal message containing discount codes. Once the opponent and match time are confirmed, season ticket holders can purchase a ticket for the home Play-Off match(es) at a discount.
